Thanasi Foods announced a recall on BIGS Dill Pickle Flavored Sunflower Seeds (MGC Item number #4986).

The dates involved are “best if used by 08 Dec 2012 and 09 Dec 2012”.
—These are the only 2 dated affected.

Attention MGC Customers: We have had preliminary notification of a recall by Novartis Consumer Health (NCH) as follows:

Novartis Consumer Health, Inc. (NCH) is voluntarily recalling all lots of over-the-counter products Excedrin®, Bufferin®, Gas-X® Prevention® and NoDoz® which are listed in the attached table. These recalls are being implemented following consumer complaints of chipped and broken pills and inconsistent bottle packaging line clearance practices at our Lincoln, Nebraska facility, which could result in the bottles containing foreign tablets, caplets, or capsules. This voluntary recall pertains to all lots with the following expiration dates:
- Excedrin® and No Doz® — December 20, 2014 or earlier
- Bufferin® and GasX® Prevention® — December 20, 2013 or earlier

MGC is awaiting the lot list of recalled products. Where our records indicate you have purchased the lot numbers from MGC, a customer service representative, Lisa Motola, will soon be contacting you regarding the recall.

As per the dates listed above, immediately pull any Excedrin (24) count boxes of (tablets,caplets , extra-strength or migraine) and any NoDoz 16 count boxes.

What To Do
Please set the recalled items in a box/bag marked “DO NOT SELL” and keep the product until you are contacted.

Please be advised:
An issue was found last week  where the bag and case had different best-before dates on the 7 oz. Pizzeria Pretzel variant for Combos.  The date on the case is correct and it should be 2012 (the bag states June 2011).

Resolution:
1)  Customer may return product to Merchants Grocery Company and credit will be given for quantity shipped.
2)  Customer will be given the opportunity to reorder the product if they want.
